The first fall freeze in Dallas-Fort Worth is coming. When temperatures will drop

The first freeze of the season in Dallas-Fort Worth is expected to occur this week.

A cold front will arrive in the region late Wednesday, Nov. 27, leading way to a cool and cloudy Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

The best chance for freezing temperatures is late Thursday going into Friday, Nov. 29. Low temperatures ranging from the upper 20s to mid-30s are expected on Friday morning, according to the NWS.

Cool weekend ahead for Dallas-Fort Worth

Temperatures on Friday will gradually warm up to a high in the mid-50s, leading to a relatively cool weekend.

Saturday, Nov. 30, will have a high in the lows 60s, followed by a high in the upper 50s on Sunday, Dec. 1. Heading into early next week, temperatures are expected to stick around the mid-50s.
