Will it be freezing in Dallas-Fort Worth on Thanksgiving? Here’s the latest forecast
After a chilly start to the week, Thanksgiving Day will be cool and breezy in Dallas-Fort Worth.
A cold front rolled over the North Texas region on Monday, Nov. 25, leaving behind temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s, said Juan Hernandez, lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service Fort Worth office.
Temperatures will stay in the 50s on Monday and dip even colder overnight going into Tuesday, Nov. 26. Overnight and early Tuesday morning lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s, Hernandez said.
Tuesday will be slightly warmer with temperatures in the low 60s. On Wednesday, Nov. 27, temperatures will warm even higher to the upper 70s to low 80s, Hernandez said.
However, by Wednesday night, a cold front will move into the region and lower temperatures heading into Thanksgiving.
Expect a cool and breezy Turkey Day in Dallas-Forth Worth
On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, North Texans can expect and cool and breezy holiday.
Temperatures will be in the mid-50s during the day, leading to colder temperatures overnight on Friday, Nov. 29. Hernandez said the best chance for freezing temperatures this week is late Thursday into early Friday.
Black Friday shoppers heading to stores on Friday morning may want to bundle up, Hernandez said. Temperatures will be right around 32 degrees, possibly even colder in rural areas.
Beyond the early Friday chill, temperatures will warm up to the mid-50s and stay around that level for the rest of the weekend. When it comes to rain chances this week, there are not any, Hernandez said.
