Now that the rain is over, here comes the cold. When will it chill in Dallas-Forth?

After a rainy start to the week, Dallas-Fort Worth will dry out and cool off over the next few days.

Parts of North Texas were under a severe thunderstorm watch early Monday, Nov. 18, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. A few northwest counties, such as Palo Pinto and Young, were also under a tornado watch on Monday morning.

Both severe weather watches for the region were discontinued by 10 a.m. Monday.

Cold front to cool off North Texas

A cold front will arrive in the region by late Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing cooler weather to North Texas.

Cooler than normal temperatures are in the forecast on Wednesday, Nov. 20, with highs between 60 to 66 degrees, according to the NWS. Both Thursday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov. 22, will stick around the mid to upper 60s.

By the weekend, North Texans can expect a gradual warm up to the 70s. Clear and dry conditions will continue throughout the week and into the weekend, per the NWS.

  • Monday, Nov. 18- 72 degrees
  • Tuesday, Nov. 19- 72 degrees
  • Wednesday, Nov. 20- 63 degrees
  • Thursday, Nov. 21- 67 degrees
  • Friday, Nov. 22- 64 degrees
  • Saturday, Nov. 23- 68 degrees
  • Sunday, Nov. 24- 76 degrees
