Friday storms can bring large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes to Fort Worth, NWS says

Unstable humid air expected to roll through Fort Worth later this week has the potential to form severe storms that can bring large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service.

“If storms are able to develop Friday afternoon, they will quickly intensify,” according to the NWS website.

Temperatures will remain in the high 70s to low 80s throughout the week, with generally sunny skies. There may be patchy fog early over Central Texas, but the fog should dissipate by mid to late morning.

Cooler temperatures and drier air is expected Saturday, with a high of 80 degrees in Fort Worth with patchy clouds. Sunday will be mild and dry and sunny.
