More rain expected in North Texas over the weekend; chance of flooding east of I-35
North Texans can expect more rain to finish out Thanksgiving week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
Friday was a dreary day with some showers.
Heavy rain is expected to start after midnight and continue through Saturday morning, with 1 to 2 inches likely across Fort Worth and Dallas, said Miles Langfeld, a spokesperson for the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
The National Weather Service map shows that the heaviest rainfall is expected along and to the east of Interstate 35.
According to Langfeld, there’s no severe weather anticipated with the rain and only a low probability of street flooding.
The rain will start moving out Saturday afternoon.
