With more storms predicted in Dallas-Fort Worth, will we see another barrage of hail?
Tarrant County may avoid the worst of possible storms moving into the Dallas-Fort Worth area Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
On Monday night, isolated storms are possible across the Metroplex, but are predicted to mainly hit the eastern side near Dallas, Sarah Barnes with the National Weather Service of Fort Worth said.
Small, isolated storms rather than widespread thunderstorms are predicted for Monday and Tuesday. However, hail and damaging winds are possible with those storms.
Tarrant County specifically only has a 20% chance of seeing any storms Monday night, although an isolated storm is possible Tuesday morning, Barnes said.
On Tuesday evening, there is a 30% to 50% chance of widespread storms across the Metroplex that could continue into Wednesday.
Overall, Tarrant County is on the fringe of most of the expected storms and may avoid a repeat of the hail that battered the area Sunday morning, the weather service said.
