Grand Prairie police investigate car crash that kills 1, seriously injuries 2 others

Authorities are investigating a car crash that killed one and injured two others, Grand Prairie police announced in a news release Saturday.

Around 10 p.m. Friday, a Cadillac passenger car was traveling north on South Carrier Parkway when the driver lost control and hit a light pole, according to police.

The driver and two passengers were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

One of the passengers later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff, the release said. Their identity will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.

The driver and other passenger remain in critical condition, police said.
