See what major roads will be closed in Fort Worth for the next 4 days

If you’re planning on driving in Fort Worth in the next four days, you may run into a few detours.

Parts of major roads will be closed from Friday to Monday due to construction.

Here’s the list:

On Friday from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. to Saturday, November 17th the following closures will be in place:

• All lanes of westbound Belknap St. at I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Spur 280.

• The off-ramp from southbound I-35W to Belknap St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Spur 280.

• All lanes of southbound I-35W from the Trinity River to SH 121 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to TEXpress lanes at no cost.

• Rolling full freeway closures on the southbound I-35W TEXpress lanes from 28th St. to SH 121.

• The on-ramp to southbound I-35W from Carver Ave. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the entrance at Gilvin St.

• The off-ramp from northbound I-35W to Pharr St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the off-ramp at Northside Dr.

• The direct connector from eastbound Spur 280 to southbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to SH 121.

• Rolling full freeway closures on southbound I-35W from SH 121 to I-30.

• The direct connector from eastbound I-30 to northbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Rosedale St.

• Rolling closures on the on-ramp to westbound I-30 from Lancaster Ave.

On Saturday from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. to Sunday, November 18th the following closures will be in place:

• Rolling closures on the direct connector from the southbound I-35W TEXpress lanes to the eastbound I-820 TEXpress lanes.

• The off-ramp from southbound I-35W to Belknap St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Spur 280.

• All lanes of southbound I-35W from the Trinity River to SH 121 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to TEXpress lanes at no cost.

• Rolling full freeway closures on the southbound I-35W TEXpress lanes from 28th St. to SH 121.

• The on-ramp to southbound I-35W from Carver Ave. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the entrance at Gilvin St.

• The off-ramp from northbound I-35W to Pharr St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the off-ramp at Northside Dr.

• The direct connector from eastbound I-30 to northbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Rosedale St.

• Rolling full freeway closures on eastbound and westbound Spur 280/US 287 from the downtown streets to I-30.

• The two right lanes of southbound I-35W from SH 121 to I-30 will be closed.

• Rolling full freeway closures on southbound I-35W from SH 121 to I-30.

• The direct connector from eastbound Spur 280 to southbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to SH 121.

On Sunday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to Monday the following closures will be in place:

• The off-ramp from southbound I-35W to Belknap St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Spur 280.

• All lanes of southbound I-35W from the Trinity River to SH 121 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to TEXpress lanes at no cost.

• Rolling full freeway closures on the southbound I-35W TEXpress lanes from 28th St. to SH 121.

• The on-ramp to southbound I-35W from Carver Ave. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the entrance at Gilvin St.

• The off-ramp from northbound I-35W to Pharr St. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to the off-ramp at Northside Dr.

According to the press release, the work is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project, which includes a 6.5-mile section that is currently ranked 23rd on the state’s most congested roadways list.

“Ranked sixth when construction began in 2013, this section of I-35W from north of I-30 to north of I-820 including the I-35W/I-820 interchange in Fort Worth is already seeing traffic improvements with the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress Lanes,” the press release said.
