Man pressure washing restaurant late at night is shot and killed, Texas cops say
A man was pressure washing a Texas business late at night when he was confronted, then fatally shot, police said.
Jimmy Arevalo, 32, was working around 12:30 a.m. on July 31 when he was approached by 38-year-old Omar Marzouk, Houston police said.
The two got into an altercation, and Arevalo was shot and killed, according to police.
“His life was taken in a violent and senseless way, leaving our family devastated and searching for strength during this painful time,” loved ones wrote in a GoFundMe.
Marzouk fled but was arrested later that day and charged with murder, police said.
“Jimmy was a hard-working, kind soul who deeply cared for those he loved,” the GoFundMe said.
The owner of OMG Seafood/Daiquiri Land told KTRK that Arevalo was a third-party contractor who was working at the business when the shooting occurred.
