A 27-year-old driver was followed by a dark vehicle when he was struck by multiple gunshots, Texas police said.

One of the accused shooters approached the vehicle’s window to “finish the job,” San Antonio police told KENS, but then had a realization.

Sorry, wrong guy,” the person said before fleeing with the second suspect, police told KSAT.

The driver suffered multiple gunshot wounds on the lower part of his body, police said. He drove himself home, then called authorities for help.

He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to police.

The two suspects are unknown. San Antonio police say they are investigating.
