Cuddly shelter dog is ‘stealing hearts’ with his grandpa-like facial feature. Meet Bud

A little dog is turning on the charm with a particular — almost human-like — facial feature in a Beaumont shelter.

Bud is a schnauzer mix with deep, expressive eyes; beige snoot and leg stockings; and a white chest, with the rest of his fur a charcoal black. At only a little over 1 year old, Bud has managed to gain an entire fan base at the Humane Society of Southeast Texas with his smooth ways and … his eyebrows?

“Say hello to Bud, a 1.5-year-old little guy who’s stealing hearts with his bushy eyebrows that’ll remind you of your grandpaw’s!” the shelter said in a Jan. 9 Facebook post.

“At under 20 lbs, Bud is the perfect size for snuggles on the couch or adventures around town.”

Sometimes he’s going to look like he’ll offer you prune juice and talk about his involvement in the Cold War with his inquisitive eyebrows that can give NBA star Anthony Davis — who famously sports a mean unibrow — a run for his money. But that isn’t even the only interesting thing about him.

“Not only is Bud adorable, but he’s also proven to be a social butterfly! While in our care, he’s been friendly with both dogs and cats, making him a fantastic addition to many types of families,” the shelter said.

He’s been neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations and has a microchip.

How can anyone resist a scruffy face like Bud’s?

Even folks in the comment section were transfixed by his dashing looks and grumpy old man eyebrows.

“Nothing cuter than a precious scruffy face,” one person said.

“He’s adorable!” said another.

For more information on Bud or other adoptable pets, visit the shelter’s website.

Beaumont is about an 85-mile drive northeast from Houston.
