Texas museums nominated for a national award. How to vote for them in USA Today contest
Texas appears on national “best of” lists quite often because it has a lot to offer everyone.
And that includes the museum scene.
A pair of Texas museums -- Arlington Museum of Art and The Crow Museum of Asian Art in Richardson -- have been nominated for USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award in the Best New Museum category, showing the institution’s recent transformation and long-standing commitment to communities
This prestigious nomination places the museums among 20 top new museums nationwide, selected by a panel of expert judges, according to USA Today.

“Recently reopened in the Entertainment District, the Arlington Museum of Art in Arlington, Texas, is a community museum committed to education, inclusivity, supporting local artists, and showcasing vibrant exhibitions,” USA Today writes. “The new 40,000-square-foot space features a combination of traditional and immersive galleries designed to enhance accessibility and interactivity.”
Currently, the AMA offers curated exhibits and related activities, including exhibit-specific lectures, art classes for adults, and diverse cultural programs. The museum also features annual children’s programs—such as Youth Art Month and Summer Art Camp.
What to know about the Crow Museum of Asian Art
“The Crow Museum of Asian Art showcases Asian art and culture, now at its new, second location in the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum at the University of Texas, Dallas,” USA Today said. “The museum’s diverse collection features a beautiful array of ancient to contemporary pieces across many media, from intricate Japanese scrolls to modern sculptures.”
How to vote for Texas museums in USA Today contest
Fans of either museum can vote daily through Monday, Dec. 23.

The winner will be announced on the Friday following the voting period, according to the contest rules.
