With 15 small cities and towns listed in the 120 most picturesque small towns in America, Texans need not look far for their next vacation.
A study conducted by travel experts with North Carolina Travel Guides compared 500 small towns in the United States, looking at search trends, popularity with photographers and photography popularity with the general public.
Gas demand nationwide is higher than it was this time last year except for the Gulf Coast, Texas and New Mexico, according to an American Automobile Association July report.
“Some industry experts speculate that scorching temps in that region are keeping people off the road,” AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross said in a statement.
The current average gas price for the Fort Worth and Arlington area is $3.52, up from $3.20 a month ago.
