Would-be thieves smash truck into CVS store in Texas to steal ATM, video shows

Before dawn Thursday, a trio of would-be thieves rammed a truck through the doors of a CVS store in Texas, police say.

Video shows a dark pickup truck, driving in reverse, slam into the doors of the drug store and then two people dressed in black run in through the wreckage.

Police in Cibolo, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio, say the men broke in to steal an ATM.

However, the men did not manage to take the ATM with them, police said.

The entrance area of the CVS had “significant” damage, which is “currently being repaired,” according to police.

Police said they found the blue pickup truck the same day. “The registered owner is not a suspect at this time,” Cibolo police said on Facebook.

At least one commenter wondered if the criminals thought through their plan.

“They didn’t even realize they would need a dolly to move the ATM? I mean, I’m not even a criminal and I would have guessed it’s heavy,” the comment read.

“Sucks that people are that stupid that was the worst robbery ive ever witnessed,” another comment read.
