Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar plan to endorse Vice President Joe Biden at Dallas rally
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar is the latest Democrat to drop out of the presidential race — and she is expected to head to Dallas to throw her support behind former Vice President Joe Biden at a Monday night rally, according to reports.
Klobuchar’s departure from the presidential primary race follows that of former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who dropped out of the race Sunday and also is expected to endorse Biden at the Dallas rally.
Philanthropist Tom Steyer ended his presidential bid Saturday night.
All this comes before Texans and voters in 13 other states head to the polls Tuesday, when 1,357 delegates will be awarded.
Biden’s Dallas rally is at Gilley’s nightclub, 1135 S. Lamar St.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. The “community event” is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Biden, who is in his third bid for the White House, is among those seeking a share of the 261 delegates Texas has to offer Democratic presidential candidates.
Tuesday is Election Day.
Polls will be open across the state from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
