From beloved cartoon to ... the real estate market? Bluey’s animated house is for sale
Bluey, the Australian blue heeler pup in Disney+’s animated show “Bluey,” is broadening her horizons by putting her cartoon hillside suburban home on the real estate market. Or, rather, her parents, Bandit and Chilli, are.
A listing for the Brisbane City house has popped up on Domain.com.au, a property marketplace website, for an undisclosed amount (makes sense since it’s, you know, not real).
“A quaint, animated family home nestled in an undisclosed Brisbane location, that could be in Red Hill or The Gap (we’ll never tell), with mid-century design aesthetics offset by whimsical touches ,” the listing says. “The quintessential Queenslander, radiating heritage charm, complete with upwards of 100 hidden small long dogs to be found.”
“Illustrated lovingly at the end of a cul-de-sac, this house sits atop a hill with views of Mount Coot-Tha. This 3 bedroom, 4 (ish) bathroom home boasts of work from home spaces, lovely period floorboards and mysterious hallways that don’t logically seem to join spaces together but always feel cohesive and purposeful. Perfect for endless play and games with the family.”
The listing is going up for a reason, no worries.
It’s a promotion for the 28-minute Bluey special titled “The Sign” created by the series’ original creator Joe Brumm, set to air on April 14.
“We’re so excited to share that a 28-minute special episode is coming in 2024. There’ll be lots of laughs, exciting guest voices, and definitely a few tears,” Ludo Studio, the company that created the cartoon, said in a release. “We’re so incredibly proud of the awesome team behind the series and we can’t wait for Australia and the world to watch this very special Bluey episode with their family and friends.”
According to the house’s listing, the episode surrounds a decision of whether the home will be sold to a new family.
The episode will appear globally on Disney+ and the Australian Broadcast Corp.
