A poker player ended up with one of the rarest hands in the game, leading to a big jackpot win in Las Vegas.

The gambler sat at a Pai Gow poker table at The Orleans Hotel & Casino, the casino said in a May 16 news release.

The player bet $30 and was dealt a seven-card straight flush — a three through nine of clubs, the casino said.

The player won the $461,351 jackpot on his second hand.

The poker player also had a $1 progressive side bet and a $5 Fortune Bonus side bet and won an additional $25,000.

“The player’s luck also resulted in a windfall for two others at the table, who each received a $3,000 Fortune Bonus thanks to the straight flush,” the casino said.

A straight flush is one of the rarest hands in the game, after a royal flush, according to Upswing Poker.

It happens when a player gets cards in sequential order and in the same suit.

The Orleans Hotel & Casino is about a 2-mile drive southwest from the Strip. It’s decorated to resemble the New Orleans French Quarter and Mardi Gras.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
