A poker player from Texas went to a Las Vegas casino and won a huge jackpot.

Now, the traveler is $897,000 richer.

A straight flush is one of best hands in poker, after a royal flush, according to Upswing Poker.

To get a seven-card straight flush, a player needs to get seven cards in consecutive order and in the same suit.

This lucky gambler’s winning cards were a 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and jack in hearts.

The Palms Casino Resort is west of the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
