A stop at a southern Georgia gas station led to a life-changing win for one lucky lottery player.

The Norman Park resident tried their luck on the Cash Multiplier scratch-off game and hit the jackpot, winning a $1 million prize, the Georgia Lottery said.

The $10 ticket was sold at a Fastrac convenience store in Moultrie.

The winner beat odds of 1-in-1,600,000 to take the top prize, which they claimed April 4, lottery officials said.

The million-dollar windfall was among $49,927,695 won on scratch-off games last week, the Georgia Lottery said. It’s also among a string of big lottery wins for the Peach State, including a Dallas resident who won $100,000 playing Powerball.

That ticket was purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app, officials said.

Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, according to the lottery’s website.

Moultrie is about a 60-mile drive northeast from Tallahassee, Florida.
