A small feline in Indiana who defines the famous “cats have nine lives” phrase is proving that the saying might be true.

Raven, a 6-month-old baby, has survived an extremely tough start to life, and is now ready for a brand new adventure, the Humane Society for Hamilton County in Fishers said.

“This tiny girl has been through more in her six months than most cats will in a lifetime, and yet, she’s still here—thriving, playing, and ready to love someone with her whole little heart,” the shelter said in a March 4 Facebook post.

“She’s seriously a miracle. She survived panleukopenia (which is usually fatal), fought off pneumonia, and battled a tough upper respiratory infection—and somehow, through it all, she never lost her spark. Now, she’s totally healthy, full of kitten energy, and just waiting for the perfect home.”

It seems like Raven knows she’s been given a second chance at life and is about as playful as a kitten can be.

“Raven is one of those cats who will keep you entertained all day. She plays hard—chasing toys, wrestling with other cats, zooming around like she’s on a mission. But when she’s done?” the shelter continued. “She’s all about the snuggles. If you’ve ever wanted a cat who will happily curl up in your lap after an epic play session, she’s your girl.”

It’s also a miracle that Raven has “no long-term concerns” in regards to her former illnesses, and is considered “tiny but mighty,” her pet profile says.

She also gets along with everyone: from other cats to dogs to children to adults.

“She really needs a home where she’ll have a furry friend (or two) to keep up with her antics,” the shelter said. “And let’s be honest, after everything she’s been through, she deserves a home filled with love, fun, and all the treats she can get.”

Fishers is about a 20-mile drive north from Indianapolis.
