A small neighborhood market helped a man win big in the Florida Lottery.
Duong Nguyen paid $20 for a Gold Rush Limited ticket at the Bolsa Oriental Market in Pinellas Park and won $1 million, according to a March 4 Florida Lottery news release.

Seven-figure prizes mean winners must make a choice between getting a lump sum or taking smaller payments over time.
“He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000,” the lottery said.
There are 100 $1 million prizes in Gold Rush Limited, which tops out with a $5 million jackpot and the odds of winning it are 1-in-2,362,500.
Nguyen, 39, lives in Pinellas Park, which is about a 20-mile drive southwest from Tampa.
The “family-owned” Bolsa Oriental Market got “a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.”
