Gambler bets $3 on slot machine, then wins life-changing jackpot at Connecticut casino

One lucky gambler walked out of a Connecticut casino with a life-changing jackpot prize.

The visitor sat at a “Jumanji Next Level” slot machine Jan. 14 at the Mohegan Sun Casino of The Sky in Montville, the casino said in a Jan. 23 news release.

The player bet $3 on the machine, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared.

Now, the gambler is $1,374,307.75 richer.

“This slot machine, which is based on the widely popular movie Jumanji: The Next Level, incorporates vibrant graphics and eye-catching animations,” the casino said in the release.

Another gambler got lucky but at a Las Vegas casino.

A Baltimore woman sat at an Ultimate Texas Hold’em poker table at Horseshoe Las Vegas and won $279,376 with a royal flush, McClatchy News reported.

Montville is about a 50-mile drive northeast from New Haven.
