Mom of 4 never made it to work, then she’s found dead in dumpster, PA officials say
A New Jersey woman was found dead inside a Pennsylvania dumpster after she was reported missing when she never showed up for work, news outlets report.
Authorities responded on Jan. 11 near a bank in Coopersburg, according to WFMZ. During their investigation, they found the body of Lucrecia Jadan Sumba, 39, in a dumpster, officials told the news outlet.
Sumba’s death was ruled a homicide and an autopsy showed she died from sharp force injuries, the Lehigh Valley News reported.
Sumba lived in New Jersey and was scheduled to work on Jan. 9, but never showed up, a GoFundMe page said. Her boss and coworkers became worried and began looking for her and reported her missing.
“A lovely mother of four children,” the GoFundMe said. “Lucrecia Elizabeth has been known to be a hardworking, lovely and caring mother, a great coworker, very responsible and always bringing a smile to everyone around her.”
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office and the Elizabeth, N.J., Police Department are investigating Sumba’s death, WPVI reported.
McClatchy News reached out to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office for more information but did not immediately hear back.
Coopersburg is about a 50-mile drive north of Philadelphia.
