A pup in Indiana is calling attention to his adorable face — and his undying love for humans. And though his love is big, he still hasn’t found a wonderful owner to appreciate it, an Indiana shelter says.

Teddy, a 5-year-old pooch, hasn’t had the smoothest of starts in life and longs for a home.

“Teddy is the kind of dog who just wants to be close—whether he’s sitting at your feet or cuddling on the couch, all he truly needs is someone to call his own. But despite being incredibly sweet and loyal, Teddy finds himself still searching for a family that will finally give him the stability he deserves,” the Humane Society for Hamilton County in Fishers said in an Oct. 10 Facebook post.

“At 5 years old, Teddy has had a few rough starts. His foster described him as a loving companion who thrives on treats, toys, and affection. He’s housebroken and crate-trained, and he loves to chew (but don’t worry—he sticks to bones and toys!)”

He’s also a bundle of energy and loves getting the zoomies and playing with his toys.

“He’s a bit shy when it comes to walks, so short distances or quiet time at home are more his speed,” the shelter says.

Teddy’s dislikes include cats and loud noises, while his likes include people who respect his boundaries.

“Teddy isn’t a dog for just anyone. He needs a quiet home where he can feel safe and loved without pressure,” the shelter said. “It’s been a long road for him, and he deserves to find someone who sees his sweet face and knows that he’s worth every effort.”

Fishers is about a 20-mile drive northeast from Indianapolis.
