Former Airbnb lists in North Carolina for $39,900. But you’re gonna need a big truck
They’re affordable. They’re adorable. They’re portable.
Tiny houses are a lot of things, and they’re popular in this economy. This 246-square-foot home on the real estate market in Asheville, North Carolina, is all of those things.
But there’s a slight catch.
“Tiny home for sale only,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “No land, you move.”
That’s right, for $39,900 this former Airbnb can be yours, but you’re gonna need a pretty hefty flatbed to relocate the home.
This isn’t that unusual since you can purchase tiny house kits to build your own home and relocate it to a spot of your choosing.
Though it’s sort of easier, at least for the buyer, if the home is already sitting on the intended property.
“Formally used for (Airbnb) it is totally furnished in excellent condition. Turnkey. Living room/ bedroom combo, kitchenette and bath,” the listing says.
Tiny homes vary in size, and with the average cost running around $300 per square foot, they range from $30,000 to $60,000, according to Rocket Mortgage.
However, there was a tiny house that made waves this year after it listed for $1.09 million. The 196-square-foot house was on the market in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, making it roughly around $5,587 per square foot, McClatchy News reported.
The house is still for sale.
