‘Rare find’ earthship-inspired estate lists for $3.4M in New Mexico. Look inside

A special opportunity has landed on the real estate market in Santa Fe, New Mexico. An earthship-inspired sanctuary called The Desert Flower (Ahkon Povi in the Tewa language) has listed for $3.47 million.

The earthship concept was the brainchild of architect Michael Reynolds in the 1970s, who created a type of passive solar home “that is made of both natural and upcycled materials such as earth-packed tires,” Visit Taos New Mexico says.
