A beach cave is hidden under patio of home for sale in Ohio. But is it cool or creepy?
A waterside home for sale along Lake Erie has an interesting feature hidden beneath the patio that can be seen either as creepy or just plain cool as heck.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 3,025-square-foot home comes with an 18-foot-diameter beach cave. And while that might be ideal in the warmer months, it looks pretty wicked when it gets colder.
But you must have $1.69 million if you’re looking to relocate to the residence, according to the listing on Zillow.com.
The rest of the home has décor akin to a ‘90s family sitcom, giving it a retro feel. But the views, and the cave itself, are the primary draw of the unique property.
The home stole the attention of the Twitter account @TheBestOfZillow, which showcases unusual homes, and people were transfixed.
“I’m digging the beach cave,” one person tweeted.
“What on earth,” another said.
“Esp. good if you enjoy all seasons, like having all seasons in your house all the time, and want to join a strange ice-worshiping cult,” another person quote-tweeted.
“So that’s where the wampa cave from Empire Strikes Back went,” someone joked.
The jokes stem from the photo of the ice that seems to consume the cave. But imagine what it looks like during the summertime?
Avon Lake is about 23 miles west of Cleveland.
