In the episode, hosts Karen Laine and her daughter Mina purchased the home for $18,000. At the time, the run-down home was suffering from water damage, but the foundation was steady so they completely made over the house. The end result turned out to be a charming property with Airbnb potential.

Homes that have been renovated on HGTV shows have been hot on the real estate market recently. In September, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage that was also the product of Karen and Mina’s magic touch was put up for sale in the same area for $400,000, McClatchy News reported.
