A Fort Worth resident claimed a $1 million Powerball prize resulting from the game’s Jan. 14 drawing, according to the Texas Lottery.

The winning ticket for a second-tier prize was purchased at QuikTrip at 10200 West Freeway in Fort Worth. The winner chose to remain anonymous, lottery officials said.

The winning Quick Pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (6-24-39-43-51) but not the red Powerball number (2). The player won an additional $4 on the same ticket.

Powerball drawings are broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:12 p.m. CT and can be streamed online.

Players can win the grand prize by matching five white numbers from a field of 69 numbers, and one red Powerball number from a field of 26. Players who choose Power Play for $1 more per ticket can multiply their non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
