A Wylie resident claimed the first $3 million top prize scratch-off ticket in the game $3 Million Ca$h, Texas Lottery officials said.

The anonymous winner bought the ticket at AJ’s Quick Trip at 202 S. Ballard Ave. in Wylie, according to the Texas Lottery news release.

As of June 2, 271,835 prizes have been claimed since the beginning of the game, according to the Texas Lottery website, and this is the first of four top prize-winning tickets that have been sold.

The chance of winning any prize in $3 Million Ca$h, including breaking even, is 1 in 3.72, with over $154.5 million in total cash prizes, the Texas Lottery website states. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in about 1,700,000.

The ticket packs cost $30, with 35 chances to claim winning cards. $3 Million Ca$h is played by matching any of the 35 mystery numbers to the six winning numbers at the top of each card and can include numbers with multipliers to win between two and 20 times the prize, according to the ticket directions.

There are three top prizes still in circulation, and the game will close once all top prizes are claimed or for Texas Lottery business reasons.
