Pickup truck driver killed in crash on I-35W in Fort Worth on Monday night

One person died in a crash Monday night in Fort Worth, closing all northbound lanes of Interstate 35W near Tarrant Parkway, officials said.

Fort Worth police officers responded about 8 p.m. to the crash at I-35 north entering the U.S. Highway 287 ramp, police said in a statement.

Police said a pickup truck collided with the back of a trailer and the driver lost control. The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene.

All northbound lanes of I-35W at Basswood Boulevard were closed because of the crash, and drivers were asked to seek alternate routes, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once family has been notified.
