A 62-year-old father of three has been identified as the victim of the fatal hit-and-run crash on Fort Worth’s northside Sunday evening.

Raymond Palacio was hit by two cars at the intersection of Ephriham Avenue and NW 24th Street shortly before 6:15 p.m. Only one of the drivers stopped to render aid, police said. Palacio died at the scene.

Gloria Palacio told Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV that what happened to her brother breaks her heart.

“Thinking of the way he died, that’s the hardest part for me,” she said to WFAA. “And for them to just leave.”

Raymond Palacio had a heart of gold, according to his sister. She learned about his death on Facebook after witnesses posted images of the accident online, including photos of Raymond’s bike lying in the street.

Gloria Palacio is asking the hit-and-run driver to come forward.

“Let us know what happened and do what’s right,” she told WFAA.

Anyone with information about Sunday night’s fatal hit-and-run crash is asked to contact the Fort Worth Police Department.
