All westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near I-35W were closed Tuesday afternoon after an incident in south Fort Worth, according to police and the Texas Department of Transportation.

Fort Worth police said they are investigating the incident as a suicide attempt. Further information was not immediately available.

Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes and expect traffic delays, TxDOT said in a social media post about 5:15 p.m. All lanes of I-20 reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
