Body of man recovered from pond in Fort Worth on Sunday, police say

A man’s body was recovered from a pond in far east Fort Worth on Sunday, Nov. 30, according to police.

Fort Worth police officers responded to a water emergency call about 12:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the water, police said.

The man’s body was pulled out of the water near the intersection of Trinity Boulevard and South Norwood Drive, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 56-year-old Charles Wesley Brown.

Results of an autopsy are pending to determine his cause of death.

Police did not share further details about why the man’s body was in the water. The investigation is ongoing.
