The winner of the best ice cream poll

Woolley’s opened its doors in Fort Worth on April 25, 2003.

After both graduating from UNT in 2000, buddies John Woolley and Brett Allen realized the corporate world was not for them. They quit their jobs, put their heads together and soon opened Woolley’s Frozen Custard at 7630 N. Beach St., just north of Basswood Boulevard.

Woolley’s has operated out of its far north Fort Worth home for over two decades and can also be seen catering everything from weddings and birthdays, to graduation parties and dance competitions.

The frozen custard shop serves a variety of sundaes, splits, malts and concretes, which is a custard mixed with a topping. The concrete “John’s Favorite” is vanilla custard with brownie chunks and caramel, while the “UNT Mean Green” is vanilla custard with mint and Oreos.
