Man shot after altercation at birthday party in north Fort Worth, police say

A man was shot after an altercation at a birthday party in north Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

At 4:34 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Kid Mania, a family event center located at 9101 Tehama Ridge Parkway, west of Interstate 35W. They discovered a man who had been shot after an altercation at a birthday party.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition, police said Sunday evening. A suspect is in custody.

Police have not released the identity of the victim or the suspect at this time.
