DFW, Dallas Love Field under ground stops as thunderstorms roll across North Texas

Thunderstorms across North Texas have caused ground stops at both of the region’s major airports.

A ground stop is in effect for Dallas Fort Worthl Airport until 3 p.m. Sunday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Dallas Love Field is also under a ground stop until 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Storms have moved across the region Sunday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

As of 2:30 p.m., there have been 533 delays and 64 flight cancelations at DFW Airport, according to Flight Aware. At Love Field, there have 97 delays and one cancelation.
