Woman fatally shot in domestic dispute at south Fort Worth home, police say

A woman was shot and killed in an apparent domestic dispute at a south Fort Worth home on Sunday, July 6, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 3200 block of 6th Avenue about 2 p.m., after a caller reported that β€œhis dad just shot his mom,” according to the 911 call log.

A police report identified the victim as 41-year-old Shinita Slaughter. No arrest had been made in the case as of Tuesday morning, according to the report.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.

Police also are investigating several separate shootings on Sunday morning, which left at least one person dead and two wounded.
