A crash on Texas 183 near DFW Airport and State Highway 360 was causing lane closures on Monday afternoon.

A Fort Worth police call log said that two 18-wheelers reported to be involved in the accident were blocking the eastbound lanes of 183, causing traffic congestion south of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The crash was reported about 1:20 p.m.

According to WFAA-TV, the Texas Department of Transportation reported that animal carcasses were scattered on the roadway in the area of the crash.

The MedStar ambulance service also responded, but no injuries were reported, according to police.

Fort Worth police said in an email that when the 18-wheeler jackknifed, some of the trailer load spilled onto the freeway, and TxDOT was called to assist with the cleanup.

TxDOT said on X, formerly called Twitter, to expect delays and that drivers should seek alternate routes.
