Pedestrian killed in car crash on Interstate 30 in west Fort Worth, police say
A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in west Fort Worth on Sunday night, police said.
Officers were dispatched to Interstate 30 near West Loop 820 about 8 p.m. Sunday, June 8, in response to a report of a major accident, a Fort Worth police spokesperson said.
Officers found the person who had been hit while trying to cross I-30, and the driver stayed at the scene of the crash, according to Fort Worth police.
Medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person who died.
No arrests have been made in connection to the fatal crash. The Fort Worth Police Department’s traffic unit is investigating.
