Woman fatally shot at Shoot Smart in far north Fort Worth, officials say
A 36-year-old woman was fatally shot at a far north Fort Worth shooting range Tuesday, April 22, officials said.
Fort Worth police were called to Shoot Smart at 10305 N. Freeway at 11 a.m. The 911 caller described the shooting as accidental, according to the call sheet. The indoor shooting range is off Interstate 35W in the Alliance area.
The woman died at Shoot Smart, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner. Police said the shooting was self-inflicted, but didn’t give any more details.
The Medical Examiner will determine the woman’s cause of death after an autopsy.
A 26-year-old man died at the same shooting range Dec. 30. His death was initially reported as an accident, but the Medical Examiner later ruled it as a suicide.
