Extension planned for this south Fort Worth road. Here’s the construction timeline
Fort Worth plans to begin construction on a roughly half-mile extension of West Everman Parkway this summer, according to the latest timelines shared by city officials.
The project will stitch together two disconnected segments of Everman Parkway just west of Interstate 35W, where logistics warehouses rub against subdivisions.
The new stretch of road, running from Rosedale Springs Lane to Cameron Hill Point, will link Everman Parkway to a soon-to-be extended Hemphill Street via a roundabout, according to project documents. The city also plans to construct a bridge over the Union Pacific railroad track that bisects the parkway’s future path.
City planners estimate the project will take $42 million and around two years to complete.
Those hoping to learn more about the extension can attend an open house March 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Agape Community Fellowship Church at 1420 W. Everman Parkway. City officials overseeing construction will walk through presentations and attempt to address questions and concerns.
Those unable to attend can share their thoughts by phone (by calling 682-207-7534) or email info@evermanextension.com.
