2 residents displaced, 1 injured in west Fort Worth apartment fire, officials say
One person was seriously injured and two residents were displaced from their homes after a west Fort Worth apartment fire on Wednesday night, March 12, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Roberts Cut Off Road after receiving several calls about a fire at that location. When they arrived, heavy flames were already coming from the back of the apartment complex, according to officials.
A second alarm was called but later canceled because the firefighters had been able to get the blaze under control, the Fire Department said.
The American Red Cross was called to the scene to help the two people who were displaced by the fire. One person was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to MedStar.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
