Several major Fort Worth roads will be blocked this weekend — here are which ones to avoid
Even if you’re not a Cowtown Marathon participant, you will still be affected by road closures this weekend.
The marathon lasts all weekend long, from Saturday, Feb. 22 to Sunday, Feb. 23. The 5K and 10K races will be held on Saturday, with half, full and ultra marathons on Sunday.

Runners will brave frigid temperatures Saturday, but luckily not as cold as it has been. According to the Fort Worth National Weather Service, Saturday will be sunny with a high of 51. Sunday is a bit warmer, sunny still, with a high of 63.
All races will start and end at Will Rogers Memorial Center located at 3401 Lancaster Ave.
When and where will Fort Worth road closures be Saturday?
The 5K and 10K races will begin at 7 a.m. Expect roads to be blocked by 6 a.m. and stay blocked throughout the event. The path is mainly in the Cultural District, West 7th Entertainment District and parts of University Drive.
Major roads that will be blocked include:

- Foch Street
- Carroll Street
- Montgomery Street
- W Lancaster Avenue
- Trail Drive
- Trinity Park Drive
Saturday races should wrap up by 9 a.m.
When and where will Fort Worth road closures be Sunday?
For the half and full marathons, road closures will begin at least by 5:45 a.m., when the Cowtown Worship Service begins. The races start at 7 a.m.
Sunday’s paths span from the Stockyards all the way down to TCU’s campus.
