Fort Worth police are investigating after someone discovered human bones in a wooded area Friday evening, officials said.

Officers were dispatched to 11400 Camp Bowie West Blvd. shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. According to the 911 call sheet, a man reported finding the bones scattered nearby, along with a backpack and wallet.

Responding officers confirmed the discovery of the bones. The Homicide Unit has been notified, police said, but no further details are available at this time.
