Man dies when truck crashes into wall on I-35 service road in north Fort Worth, police say

A man died after the truck he was driving crashed into a wall on Sunday, Jan. 26 on the Interstate 35W service road in north Fort Worth, police said.

The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. on the southbound service road near 5500 North Freeway..

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died in the crash as 46-year-old Jon Thomas Capps.

Police said just before the fatal crash, the truck was potentially involved in a hit-and-run on the service road near Western Center Boulevard
