Shooting victim dropped off at a Fort Worth hospital emergency room dies, police say

A man who had been shot in the Morningside section of Fort Worth was dropped off late Sunday at a hospital emergency room, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at John Peter Smith Hospital. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released his name or age.

The man was shot in the 900 block of East Ramsey Avenue and was dropped off about 11:30 p.m., Fort Worth police said.

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the killing and had made no arrests, a police spokesperson said on Monday morning.
