Interstate 20 in south Fort Worth closed due to fatal crash, officials say

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in south Fort Worth were closed Tuesday morning due to a fatal crash, officials said.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Interstate 20 around 4:40 a.m. A vehicle had struck the support pillar of the Campus Drive bridge, police said.

One person was killed in the accident, according to police. The victim hasn’t been publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Traffic Investigations Unit is looking into the cause of the crash. The eastbound lanes of I-20 were still closed as of 8 a.m.
