2 killed in pickup truck crash on U.S. 287, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office says

A man and a woman were killed when their pickup truck crashed on U.S. 287 on Tuesday night, Dec. 10, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 11 p.m. to the accident in the 14000 block of U.S. 287, in north Tarrant County. Upon arrival, they found a pickup truck upside down on the shoulder of the highway, authorities said.

A man was lying near the truck and a woman was found about 20 yards away. Both occupants appeared to have been killed when they were thrown out of the pickup truck, authorities said.

The highway was shut down while investigators gathered evidence and cleared the scene. They are working to determine the cause of the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased and officially determine their cause of death.
