Tarrant County’s annual Veterans Day parade is back for its 105th year.
The first-ever parade occurred in 1919 to celebrate those who fought in World War I, officials said in a press release.
This year also marks 175 years since the first military post was established in North Texas — Fort Worth.
It’s the 105th parade, not the 106th, because there was no parade in 1981.
“Everyone can join in saluting Cowtown and all military veterans who have, are, and will continue to make great contributions,” parade chairman Ken Cox said in a press release.

When is the Veterans Day parade?
The opening ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the parade at 11 a.m.

The parade will start in the Panther Island Pavilion parking lot, march down North Forest Park Boulevard along the Trinity River and return.
